  1. This is a great video about Admiral King, he was an amazing person and had an amazing life. Born in 1880, he became the ultimate Twentieth Century warrior, commanding airplanes, aircraft carriers, naval fleets, the Marines and submarines. Although King had problems at the beginning of the US involvement in WW2, from December 41 to May 42, when German U-Boats were slaughtering the merchant marine ships off the East Coast, he should have taken British advice, but eventually he did and the problems were fixed. King having British ancestry and being an Anglophobe is a curious paradox and amusing too. -- No doubt, Admiral King was a great man and interesting character.
