The entrenched US Navy Bureau of Ordinance leadership and bureaucrats lengthened the war, increased the death toll on both sides and displayed incredible hubris in not believing their naval submarine captains reports about their defective torpedoes. -- The most and worst kind of corruption is usually found in high places in society, shame on the US Navy BuOrd for not accepting it's responsibility for the Mark 14 failure during the first part of WW2.
