The ancient Greeks knew over 2,000 years ago about this eclipse, they made a device that we call today the Antikythera Mechanism, it was mechanized calendar calculator, it tracked the Moon and planet phases and indicated when solar and lunar eclipses would occur, it's based on a 19-year Moon cycle known as the Metonic Cycle. A British museum curator Michael Wright hand built a reconstruction of the Antikythera mechanism that includes all of its known features. It's a planetarium, that is based on a geocentric design of the world, where the sun, moon, planets and stars revolve around the earth. The reconstructed device is accurate for all the planets indicating correct positions with-in one degree in a 500 year period. And it still works today.
