  1. Clean burning coal fired power plants make the most sense for Western countries meeting energy needs. Carbon dioxide is NOT a dangerous greenhouse gas, in Western countries people have been programed for decades to believe carbon dioxide is a pollutant. Without carbon dioxide life would not exist. California Stanford University professor Paul Ehrlich wrote the book "The Population Bomb" in 1968. he predicted worldwide famine in the 1970s and 1980s because of overpopulation, massive social unrest, and he advocated mass sterilization of people. It didn't happen, Paul Ehrlich is a typical progressive socialist liberal college professor. ~ The United Nations are the biggest fear mongers in the world, they have 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be implemented by 2030 and they are the reason for Carbon Tax that is now being paid by most Western Countries. Notice China, India and most Eastern countries are not paying Carbon Tax. Yet they burn most the coal in the world.
