  1. EVs to work there will have to be enough charging infrastructure that doesn't exist at this time. This will require more charging stations and they will require more energy to be generated. Solar and wind power are not as reliable or as cheap as coal, this is why China and India build coal powered plants and burn the majority of the coal in the world. EVs are not green, not energy efficient and cannot compare to petrol and diesel vehicles for practicality, reliability and versatility. The only reason to change to EVs is to control people's freedom of movement.
