If powering EVs is the goal, then It does make sense to generate the power near to where it will be used. ~ But it does not make sense to generate electricity, and then store it in a lithium battery storage facility in a urban area. Energy would be saved by not using lithium batteries at all. The BEV is not environmentally friendly nor energy efficient.
