  3.  @DwaynePipes  ~ I am US born, not UK, although my mom's family are Scots who immigrated to Canada. To me politicians, who push woke, green policies and social justice are not doing their job representing the voters who elected them. A more responsible MSP leader would not have championed hybrid electric ferries, which are not practical, not proven like diesel ferries are, not as reliable, are more expensive to purchase, have higher maintenance costs, and are not as durable or as long lasting as diesels ferries. The most serious potential problem is a chance that the lithium ion battery could go into thermal runaway. Lithium ion batteries have sunk ships before, leveled parking garages and destroyed buildings. To me a hybrid electric ferry is a dumb idea.
