  1. A Chinese soils engineering company could and should have designed that highway not to be affected by a landslides. They would have to be employed to design it and their work supervised to implement it, then there would be fewer problems and disasters like this, but it's still not absolute guarantee it's indestructible. China like everywhere else, when it comes with public safety and the engineering public and commercial projects they must be rigorously engineered.
