In good design unnecessary complexity is avoided, and simple solutions are used that are better for safety and reliability reasons. -- Did the Fuel Shutoff Valve (FSOV) get shut off by a rogue software glitch? Hopefully the truth will come out about what happened to Flight 171, this problem must be is fixed before confidence in the 787 can be restored. -- Thank you Gary for a stunning revelation to a possible cause to why those engines stopped working.

  3. Gary, I like your assessment, it makes sense. Maybe this accident is a result of unusual weather combined with no one suspecting, including ATC and airline pilots, that this accident could possible happen, it was so unusual, hopefully everyone recovers.
