He used simple math, 3 line trigonometry. He sailed following the coast Antarctica and traveled 63,000 miles to do it, that is two and a half times the alleged circumference of the equator. It would not surprise me if Captain Cook was murdered for what he knew. He was one of history’s greatest navigators, explorers and mapmakers.
