If the Russians hadn't won at Stalingrad the war would have been very different for the allies. The Soviet communist big brother system didn't work, there was no accountability or honesty. Stalin was criminal and murderer running the system, so the men working for him were like him, they were criminals and murderers. The devil the US, UK and others made friends with was Stalin, the devil US, UK and others didn't want was Hitler. This is the case where the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
