  1. Captain Kevin Sullivan is a hero for saving that plane, passengers, crew and himself from certain death. It was his military experience that enabled him to bring that plane safely to the ground. The Captain and First Officer are the primary backup safety systems on a airliner. They should be able to override a computer when it's needed.
