  1. It's interesting to hear what Willy Messerschmitt had to say about this, like you say it's not surprising he didn't think building the He-162 was worth the effort, I think he was right.

Sounds like Willy was right, Heinkel 162 could have been a lethal fighter, but the logistics for it's production were too weak in 1945.-- To Heinkel's credit, test pilot legend Captain Eric Brown flew the He 162 and said it was a great plane that could have given the Allies big problems, if it had been produced in adequate numbers.
