  5. The carbon fiber fuselage requires lighting mesh where as aluminum fuselage planes don't need to have lightening mesh wrapped around them. Boeing’s latest 777 version has an an aluminum alloy fuselage (aluminium-lithium) "which is cheaper than carbon fiber and better than previous aluminum alloys. It may be carbon fiber airline fuselages are not the future for airliners.

Hughes wood technology ideas would eventually succeed with companies like Trus Joist who manufacture wood "I" floor joists and other products. Hughes was interesting, an oil man, aviator, movie director, aircraft designer, manufacturer and more than this.

Kevin has a timely message about the dangers of autonomous flight controls, as the Airbus A330 has a fly-by-wire Flight Control Primary Computer that went rouge and tried to kill the passengers and crew of flight QF72. It was Kevin's military experience and training that saved their lives. The Captain and First Officer are the ultimate safety backup system for commercial airplanes, seasoned pilots with military experience are preferable.

  18. I think Alexander is right, better to revoke Article 50, then Britain can still vote in the EU. In my humble opinion the Brits should try again and build a new and better Brexit to get free of the EU monster. It's not just about British who are having problems with their elected officials, this is about the rest of Europe, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and etc. These self serving politicians they give lip service to electorate, and then blatantly serve the rich and powerful elite and ignore the people who voted for them. It's like Alex said they don't care what the people want.

  21. I agree and stealth fighters are not as pretty and are unproven in combat to this day, time will tell if they are good or not. The US doesn't that many stealth fighters as yet and they will not make any more F-22's. Quantity is aquality all it's own and it seems they are not planning to have a lot of stealth fighters.

Because history is written by the winners we're always getting an altered, or censored version of history.
