  1. B757 much better than the B737 and the reason why the 737 is used with 200 passenger vs 200 passenger 757 is SOUTHWEST AIRLINES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SWA wants to keep one type rating! Boing needs to redesign the B757 it will sell. Make the body wider (like the A320 series) and improve the aero config...Get rid of the stupid B737 that was designed with a turboJET engine with that idiotic stubby landing gear not a turbofan engine that the B757 was designed with and they all use now. I'd make a Canard version of the B757 category.

  2. The A321 has gutless takeoff capability vs the B757, the B757 was and still is a sports car airliner.

  4. Best solution for short haul is canard ducted fan turbojet running on ethanol. Ethanol is better as its freezing point is very low (-141C) and water contamination isn't a problem and it's renewable. It has a higher energy content per weight but a little lower by volume, so slightly bigger fuel tanks, but in planes weight is usually a bigger issue.
