He also pointed out Russian efforts to solve the conflict diplomatically Just after the tape “ mysteriously cut out “ Putin also mentioned the Minsk peace agreement that was breached by Ukraine in 2015 and 2017 that if followed would have prevented todays conflict Putin was understandably irritated by the question asked by the BBC “ journalist “ but answered the question accurately with diplomacy .
