I worked at Uh-Oh Zone for a year back in the day, and could probably fill a book, but my favorite one was where the guy changed his air filter, dropped the wingnut down the intake, and decided the best course of action would be to start the engine. 10 seconds, a half dozen curse words and one blown motor later, it was all I could do to keep a straight face before I got back to the bathroom...🤣🤣🤣 (Shit happens, yes, but this is where you get a magnet on a stick, not the ignition key...)

@yongling9825 Not to mention the fact it doesn't matter if he'd noticed or not. Any time you lose hardware around an open intake, you stop everything you are doing until you find it; period! Although I'm sure the bone yard he sold it too was more than happy to get a vehicle where the majority of it was in such decent condition!

@CerberusTenshi There's no use arguing with EV supporters because you are all completely cracked, and nothing I, or anyone says will change your warped and limited world view. And you see is 'EV'S GOOD, ICE BAD!' without ever looking at the big picture.

These days we have portable pumps that just plug into the cigarette lighter which is way quicker and easier.

@yongling9825 He noticed it fell down 'somewhere', and by that, he meant 'the hole where the air goes into the engine. he then said, and I quote "I looked down with a flash light, didn't see it, so thought it would be okay to start it up, but now it's making a ratting, pinging, knocking sound.....is that bad?" [I couldn't make this up if I tried]

SERIOUSLY GUYS, FROGS AREN'T REAL!!! They are just hyper realistic drones used for surveillance! Frogs, Birds, that homeless dude down on the corner begging people for spare change; it's all a government coverup!!!

On that first one, I always used both old pads and several pry bars increasing in size each time. Also, you GOT to open the bleeder screw or else your forcing all that old fluid back up through the braking system and can cause ABS to have a caniption fit or clog tiny orifices etc.

They also forgot to mention Hertz is selling off 20,000 of it's used Teslas as of like a month ago, it had flooded the used market as well. They may still be desirable, but the supply exceeds the demand by a lot!

My helmet has a dial for light sensitivity (brightness at which it darkens), time delay (amount of time between sensing the light and darkening), a dial for adjusting the darkness level when engaged, and a Weld/Grind toggle switch to disable it. Oh, it also has a blue flame decals on the sides that makes it go faster somehow...

Personally, I prefer flux welders over MIG for home use because the gas canisters part (refilling them) is too much of a PITA to deal with unless using it on an industrial level.

The fastest car from each company isn't a rental, it's stolen!

Pro Tip: The alignment tool and disc are supposed to go in BEFORE the pressure plate, not after....

All 3 of my automotive instructors at tech school are rolling in their graves right now...

Always chalk wheels, yes, but this is also a reminder to always set the parking brake.

TBH: The best option we really have right now is to continue research into sustainable bio fuels such a Bio-Diesel, Ethanol, and gas grown from Algae. The biggest obstacle we have at the moment is the amount of energy released isn't as high as that in traditional Hydrocarbons, so you don't have quite as much power as a traditional ICE. As research continues and technology advances, we continue to get better and better at it, and eventually they will wind up replacing dino oil as the primary source.

Someone never watched Top Gear; it's pronounced [Kay-trum or Kay-terum]. Gottah love those wacky Brits!

EV's actually ARE worse for the environment overall, but not in the way the article claims; talk about missing the point! It has to do with Lithium mining not being sustainable as mentioned because of the fact that the mining, refining and diffusing the lithium into batteries add way more pollutants into the air during the manufacturing process. Add on top of that, there is also all the extra carbon emissions to transport these heavy assed things around the globe, giving EV's a massive carbon footprint before they ever hit the street! And then there is the disposal of the batteries after they've been used up, something EV supporters never talk about....

@CerberusTenshi Soooo, lithium ore that is strip mined in western Canada, processed in eastern Canada, Diffused in Germany, built into batteries in China and then built into cars in Japan before being shipped to the US ISN'T destroying the environment? China alone contributes more air pollutants than all other nations combined, and all battery cells COME from China! And I'M the one that's full of BS????

Fun fact: The old timer trick of using trans fluid IS forged in truth, BUT, old timers would only use it if they were out of Marvel Mystery Oil. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you DO use trans fluid, the oil MUST be changed within 25-50 miles or so and should NOT stay in the crankcase longer than a day or two. If used properly, it works wonders, but if left in the motor for too long, WILL cause more harm than good.

"You've heard of this one!" Who hasn't?
