Not only is the D.A. going to go after him for multiple counts of attempted murder due to all the lives he endangered, but the German authorities and even Interpol might go after him on charges of terrorism! It's like he forgot about 9/11 somewhere along the line! (Beeteedubs, give all our love to the puppers!)

Also: Even if the entire thing winds up being a write-off as an aircraft, it still has intrinsic value on the ground as a training tool for things like aircraft fire-fighters using parts of the airframe, for example, so this could wind up being a blessing in disguise! I'm just glad they got it down safely and no one was injured as a result!

Rule #1 in situations like these; Whenever working with, for, or around someone on a professional level, the first thing you should do, even before reviewing on-site safety protocols for whatever job you're doing, is always ASK for CREDENTIALS! It's one of the first things I looked into when I started watching his channel. Plus, it's also kiiiinda hard to gain access to both the cockpit of a jumbo jet in service today & FAA approved flight sims if yer not...

"If it can go wrong, it will go wrong, so let's do everything we can engineering wise to make sure it doesn't". That was actually much the original credo, but like many things in Etymology, it was shortened for everyday use.

  20.  @mittelwelle_531_khz  Forgive me for pointing out the obvious, but the international language of aviation is English by default & in English, we DO call it Hydroplaning, especially in the Auto industry. I am A.S.E. certified (but have been thinking about going back to school to become an aviation tech), but I did not know that's what it was called in German. I'm guessing a number of other Romanish languages used predominantly in Europe call it the same; but again, English is the default language in the sky, sooooo....

  40. of course not, pilots already know how to fly and don't really need to watch, but as mentioned in his last crossover vid with Captain Joe, Many pros with active flight status and thousands of hours of logged flight time do still watch because he is entertaining.

I remember right before this whole thing dropped bringing the entire commercial aviation industry to it's knees, they were on the verge of being reinstated by the all the aviation agencies around the world, but when the Corona virus hit, that all went out the window. ~~~ tl;dr = Is the 737-Max doomed???

  46. ​ @Ethan's Aviation Actually, YOU meant to say 2.2 Mach (NOT Mach 2.2). And for the record, the SR-71 has been clocked at 3.1 Mach (+). This has been very well documented by the U.S.A.F. as FACT!!! (Goggle it!) Another fun fact, the Lockheed A-12, the older brother of the SR-71 flew higher & faster than it's younger sibling, but the Blackbird was more cost effective for the U.S. Air Force & the C.I.A. to run at the time.

  62. He also forgot to mention that the single most important part of working as a member of any airport's ground crew (Other than constant comms. w/ A.T.C.) is personal awareness. Air traffic control is almost always busy AF and occasionally small things WILL slip through the cracks every now and then which is why it is always most wise & prudent to have a second (third, fourth, whatevs) set of eyes around to point out the obvious. That means this is the primary reason for A.T.C. to stay in constant contact with all ground crews securing & maintaining the runways, taxiways, tarmacs, etc which goes beyond basic C.Y.A. and has undoubtedly saved countless lives already.

The father of modern medicine, among other things, whom, in his pursuit of knowledge, started dissecting birds in order to better understand their biology. Among other things, he noted two important properties; hollow bones, and the curvature of the wing. Air moving over the top of the wing has to be moving faster than air moving underneath it, generating a low pressure area, thus, flight! A little over a century later and some nut-job bicycle mechanics in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina found a way to actually make it work & the rest is history.

Also, kinda jealous you guys have an auxiliary engine providing hydraulic pressure when the main engines are non-op. Seriously, you ever tried turning the steering wheel on a car with the engine off?

  68. Actually, I think the term you were looking for is 'Red-line', like the little red line on the tachometer in your car. Under normal circumstances you'll never get close, but even when pushed right to the line, they usually won't blow up until you past that exact mark.

It wasn't just a fan blade, it incorporated a progressive tilt design that became more extreme the closer to the center you got because the W.B. understood HOW to generate equilateral force across the entire rotational plane!   81. Short Version = SERIOUSLY, do you NOT watch Mythbusters?!?!?!? Long Version = Sorry, but I HAVE to correct your understanding of basic physics on one point, if I may... You are forgetting your basic Newtonian physics in regards to Newton's 3rd law & mass displacement because I am afraid you are actually wrong on this point! Nutshell = 2 aircraft involved in a head-on mid-air collision with each traveling approximately 500 MPH, each, does NOT equate to a single plane slamming into a mountain @ 1000 MPH. The energy of both incoming masses in a head on collision actually cancel each other out, more or less, and then it becomes a factor of curb weight as to who is going to win in said collision. {PROVE ME WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!}

It's always about the P.O.D.R. and going beyond the Point Of Diminishing returns is always the one thing that kills a business every time and the airlines that are to survive will be the ones most capable of minimizing this. Also, I'm not so sure O.P.E.C. will be hit that hard in regards to how many oil companies will go under nor how difficult it would be to get the pump sites opening up again. Don't get me wrong, definitely a thing, but I feel the lower fuel prices will prolly stick around longer than you might think.

  93. HO-Ly crap, it's JUST like a personnel transport shuttle in Star Wars!!! When they're out in space, they literally have an infinite amount of space around them for normal shuttle operation, but when they dock in a landing bay, have to fold the 'wings' up in order to fit inside. Granted, wings on an aircraft and thruster mounting struts serve different purposes entirely, but both fold up for the exact same reason!!!

Personal note: You might want to leave the text up on the screen about twice as long as you currently do, and simply overly on top of the primary video layer because tl;dr = I read 500 wpm and even I have trouble keeping up; plus, pausing the video every time to read the whole thing is a pain.   103. This is JUST like driving a big rig/18 Wheeler, or, Lorries as you call them on your side of the pond. Technically speaking, they all quantify as 'Class 10 Trucks', but the point is still the same: if something suddenly gets in the way of one of these things moving at speed, there IS no going around, it IS going to get run over because trying to avoid a collision with said obstruction would actually wind up causing a crash that WILL do more harm than good. It is unfortunate, but that is the reality of Newtonian physics on the Macro level, period!
