Wooden blocks come in really handy for this stuff too because a lot of the time, the steel components will dig into the wood in such a way as to form an almost custom holding block before the wood compresses enough to hold it firmly in place. Not to mention different types of wood offer different densities opening up a wide range of trickety-tricks you can do on a press.

  6. I used to work at Uh-Oh Zone for a year and most customers I had said it worked well for them. Also, old carpeting is your friend for the floor of the garage and can usually be found for free on Craigslist in large enough rolls to cover the entire floor!

  30. Dude, protip on the shoes: They actually make steel toed shoes with high tops sealing the sides. It's LIKE a steel toed work boot, but they are SO much lighter, and just as effective. They're like 40 bucks at Wally World, and definitely work checking out sometime! Also, side note: 'Indestructible shoes' are anything but so don't waste your money. THEY ARE JUNK!!!!
