  2. I think that if you aussies play your cards right you could end up one day as a mini American empire in Oceania. You have lots of land that could terraformed to be more habitable, you have satellite states surrounding you. If you guys could just terraform your deserts, encourage higher birth rates, and keep believing in yourselves I can totally see a future Australian Empire. While it wouldn’t be as strong as the United States, it could be a great power. It’s funny also since, Australia was colonized as a replacement to the 13 colonies that founded the US, and your capital was modeled off of Washington DC, with Canada and New Zealand being after thoughts on the periphery. We are the main successors of the British. Now I still think this Australia would be an American Satellite, but still

  3. So true. Progress may not be inevitable, but I do think that it is desired by the laws of nature, including space exploration/colonization.
