  7. If Poland is apart of the EU And the EU is a satellite of the US Than Poland is also a satellite of the US. It just so happens that Poland by bordering and hating Russia, is just where the US needs Poland to be to the extent that the US “commands” any of its satellites. One thing that Rudyard points out is that the US, at least in Europe and east Asia is a reluctant empire. So like after the Second World War, the society’s set up satellite states as means to extend their power, we passively set up satellite states so as to protect Europe from and East Asia from the Soviet Union and now Russia and china, and partially middle eastern terrorists.
