@Footy_Fan well as an American having been to the Netherlands they speak a lot of English. In fact Dutch is the easier language for an Anglophone to learn. The Netherlands is culturally similar to England and the British isles, our progenitor. It also feels very American. They were a federal republic like the USA as well. They may be more leftwing as of now, but they are salvageable. You forget that New York was originally founded by the Dutch. They were early pioneers of constitutionalism, representative government, and capitalism. While Poland is similar in that respect, Hapsburg Hungary certainly is not. Also it should be natural that we have more in common with a fellow northwest European country, than Poland or Hungary. Especially Hungary. Also both the U.S. and Netherlands have been historically majority Protestant as well. In sum, they are historically similar to us, and they speak a lot of English, Dutch cities are easy to navigate. They and Scandinavia speak the most English outside the Anglosphere. As a side note their architecture and landscaping is one of the best. Most European cities bore me, but not Amsterdam or other Dutch cities. They made them pretty. You won’t find commie blocks like in Eastern Europe.

@Yolk421 Explain. Would you in turn accept the left wing logic that the Americas belong do the indigenous population? The majority of these regions are Muslim not Christian. A government can only be created in permanence with the consent of the governed. Unless you believe that the Muslims are completely lacking in the ability of self governance, and are effectively natural slaves.

There are plenty of Roman Catholic content creators who don’t talk church stuff. And why should you expect the algorithm to provide church content without searching for it. Are they obligated to act as an evangelist for you?

Why Poland and Hungary? The Netherlands are more American

@Footy_Fan Though I can get the appeal, Poland is probably less populated than the Netherlands or Ireland per capita. And the north European plain looks a lot like Minnesota. They are the most grateful to the United States for standing the Soviet Union. Though I am surprised they trust anyone considering their history. Invaded by both German states and Russia, with promises made by the UK and France that they were unable to keep, thrice. 1815, 1939, 1945. I wish that the conservatives who are sympathetic to Russia in the Russo-Ukraine war would understand how much the Polish and their neighbors do not trust the Russian government. Such people can pick to side with the Russian narrative, or the Polish, they cannot have both. And as we Americans have more in common with Poland, I side with the Polish narrative.
