@Andrew Donald - It has also won a number of other races in its 3 year production, including the IMSA Weather Tech series, beating the likes of the Corvette C7R, BMW M8 (both V8s) and Porsche 911 RSR. People not knowing better criticize the GT for being a 6 cylinder. I'll guarantee you the racers of the other cars just mentioned have nothing but praise for its abilities!

@Puff the Magic Dragon - You're correct - Svensson was the Director of the design team, not a designer of the car himself! I think Hyper Trophy Winner's comment is typical of a Brit that would like to think the British designed, built, distributed, raced, etc., etc. the car. Never seen a country so eager and willing to take far more credit for creating all of the Ford GTs than they deserve!

Tyran Mathurin - It is a purpose built race car that happens to be available in a street version too. Look at the interior - it's clearly stripped and reflects more of a racer style than a posh street machine, that's not indicative of any supercar I've ever seen.
