Very subtly, in traditional Chinese fashion, Xi Jinping called Germany and other European countries US colonies. And let Herr Scholz not be offended, because why be offended by the truth?
And in general - it is not clear why Scholz went to China. It is clear that he was trying to persuade Comrade Xi to somehow influence Putin, but here it is clear that this is a hopeless case. And even if we consider the Chinese as those people who can be bribed with something (which is absolutely not the case), Germany, and the rest of Europe, has absolutely nothing to offer China.
By the way, it is worth noting here that already now part of the German business is considering China as one of the sites for its production, since Germany has prohibitive tariffs for gas and electricity. In fact, some technologies themselves go to China and Comrade Xi does not even have to do anything for this.
China no longer considers Germany as a serious world player, and Germany itself has done everything to make it so.
Germany has completely submitted to the US, despite the fact that this means huge problems for the country's economy and new profits for the US. Everything is obvious here, but only not the “traffic light coalition” ruling in Germany.
And just before Scholz's visit to China, there was news that the United States was demanding from Europe, and from Germany in particular, to impose tough sanctions against China. And if these sanctions are introduced, it will be a control shot in the head of the German industry.
The United States was able to quarrel Germany with Russia and now it remains to quarrel with China. And this is not a super task, given that Scholz obediently carries out all the orders of the Washington regional committee. Under these conditions, Scholz's visit to China looked even somewhat ridiculous. And we will learn about its results a little later, when Germany begins to tighten its rhetoric regarding Taiwan and other Chinese problems.
And Olaf Scholz himself, because of his visit to China, came under strong criticism from the German media. Bild even wrote that Olaf spent 23 hours on the road to talk with the “Chinese dictator” for two hours.
