  26. boring liar. The situation in Aleppo is critical for Damascus. The city is almost completely under the control of the HTS. The militants have stopped trying to expand their influence inside the city. There are now only 1,500 to 2,500 of them in a city of one million. They simply don't have enough forces and resources (1-2 days needed). The Russians and Iranians do not have the forces to stop the HTS advance. Many government units have fled or betrayed Assad today. The situation is now shrouded in the fog of war. Capable SAA units are already arriving and moving into the battle zone. The Iranians need a few more days. The Russians are carrying out effective air strikes and their special forces are targeting Aleppo. The Turks and the Jews are happy. The Kurds do not know whether to flee or to bargain with HTS like a hen and a housewife before a holiday dinner.

  35.  @trevortrevortsr2  The fact western politicians are talking about Freezing the Ukraine and Deploying NATO Troops shows how catastrophically out of touch (or desperate) they are. There are a few older milennials who managed to eek out an okay living and don't really care, but the majority of people under-40 in all western countries - regardless of age, race, culture, beliefs, etc - HATE their governments...and for very good reason. This is true in the Ukraine as well, since many of the Ukrainian "volunteers" had to be literally press ganged off the street into vans by military personnel to be sent to the front. It's ludicrous for any western government to think that, even collectively, they can go to war against Russia. Telling your average under-40 westerner that they have to go fight/pay for a major war for nebulous causes would cause a revolution overnight. If you give your average young western man a rifle and tell him he has to fight, he's not going to be aiming it at the government's enemy 5000 km away from his home, he's going to be aiming it as his enemies which are only 5km away.
