Footage shows Israeli air defenses active and successfully intercepting missiles, just not enough of them fast enough. This is called saturation, it is different than defenses failing to intercept incoming targets or depletion in which there are no longer means of intercepting incoming targets. The next phase of this conflict will be determined by Iran's ability to both sustain this type of attack, its allies' ability to exploit it, and Israel's hesitation or lack thereof to escalate up to and including nuclear weapons. US intervention was always part of the plan when and if possible. There are limits to US - Israeli military power, the question is, is Iran and its allies more limited?
