  1. Being cheap is not the way to go with brakes. Obviously someone just threw pads on there previously. That is why everything was rusted up, and worn and the pads were like new. They probably would have been fine if they would have at least greased up the slide pins. I know they were trying to save a few bucks, but with new rotors, I would have still replaced the pads. I know, I know they were like new, but still. What did they save, 50 - 60 bucks?
