His only really redeeming act was his championing of a liberal activist Allard Lowenstein who was later murdered, and whom Buckley wrote a very personal eulogy for, as far as I'm concerned. Other Jewish figures were already successes on their own, so he was just dealing with a relative equal in the NYC scene. It's interesting how complicated and contorted the words can get just to describe how a Reasonable Person should act. A Reasonable Person as people SHOULD have been taught by a properly educated and trained teachers in schools, because parents who don't have to think for a living rarely do the Reasonable Person act as an example for their kids and rarely have intelligent things to teach their kids. Grew up in a city that went through really uncomfortable race conflicts, but the best thing that happened is the racists were pretty much excluded from the public discourse and the overall idea was things HAD TO CHANGE! I admired my teachers and they were supported by the then Real News Media, and I could see, as an outsider, why they were right on racial issues because of my own issues with The Right Kind of People and The Blue Collar Dead Enders who ruled the roost up until then. Now, with the Liar-in-Chief, Convicted Felon being pandered to by the Lamestream Media, that exclusion is not possible, and it is the children and young adults who suffer from the Racists of Past Generations being in positions of $$$$$ and Power who can shout racists insults at the top of their lungs as Mating Calls to Other Racists. They don't even need to use Dog Whistles anymore.

I think the Jews should be the ones to determine which Commandments are to be included since, as Lewis Black says to Christians, "IT'S NOT YOUR BOOK!!"
