To quote Francis Bacon ...,
"There is in human nature generally, more of the fool than of the wise;
and therefore those faculties, by which the foolish part of men’s minds is taken,
are most potent."
Followed up by a description of why Duh-Nald is so popular with Ig'nant MAGAts ...,
"Wonderful like is the case of boldness in civil business: what first?
boldness; what second and third? boldness. And yet boldness is a
child of ignorance and baseness, far inferior to other parts. But nev-
ertheless it doth fascinate, and bind hand and foot, those that are
either shallow in judgment, or weak in courage, which are the great-
est part; yea and prevaileth with wise men at weak times.
Therefore we see it hath done wonders, in popular states; but with senates, and
princes less; and more ever upon the first entrance of bold persons
into action, than soon after; for boldness is an ill keeper of promise.
Surely, as there are mountebanks for the natural body, so are there
mountebanks for the politic body; men that undertake great cures,
and perhaps have been lucky, in two or three experiments, but want
the grounds of science, and therefore cannot hold out."

The internet and the internet bros that have captured the eyes of the 'dainty ones' in the Democrats, the Professional Democrats, are just Vulture Capitalist spinoffs, so is it any surprise that the STENCH of Vulture Capitalism has infected politics and turned people into just Amazon Voters?!
I contributed to the Dems so they would HIRE people to go out and get others involved LIKE YOU SUGGEST! I don't need the atmosphere of the old "3rd Ward Democratic Assn" or "5th Ward Polish American Club" to get me to vote or vote Democratic, and I am now too busy and tired to go out and canvass myself, anymore. But, that doesn't mean they are not needed for a lot of other people, and that I would not belong to one and pay dues, but not really wander down to them for 'community' ..., just like I do for the local VFW chapter I belong to ...
Funny how this was a KEY message of old "Yee Haaah" Howard Dean, who was key in grass roots organizations staffed by PEOPLE, that got plowed under by the Clintons and following sycophants because it wasn't Fleetwood Mac Chic. Dean got put into that organization position BECAUSE he was too 'proletarian' for the Lamestream Media's taste, another group of Booboisie-Grade, Chi-Chi Barbecue Cookout snobs. I grew up blue collar and have seen a huge change in Democrats over the years, and not for the good.

Sorry, "Progressive" has been kidnapped to mean 'Even More Suspect Than Socialist", like why Teddy Roosevelt lost with the Bull Moose Party in a Proto-Gilded Age of Predatory Capitalism.
The Dems don't care about working people unless they are in the minority demographics and can be turned into feel-good 'aspriational' campaign issues instead of the issues like THE PRICE OF GAS and THE PRICE OF FOOD. Those are issues THAT ACTUALLY AFFECTS PEOPLE HERE AND NOW!!
THAT image of Dems who don't care about 'food on the table' issues is what rules NOW.
This election was turned on the same suburban swing voters that elected Biden, previously, because they saw him as someone who knew THEIR problems. Harris was first, a minority, and, second, a woman, and, third, a candidate spewing 'Glittering Generalities'.
That is the ugly truth about US politics. That is why HARRIS WAS THE VP ON BIDEN'S TEAM, NOT BIDEN THE VP ON HARRIS' TEAM.
The last election ALSO was turned on people WHO DIDN'T BOTHER TO TURN UP for any number of the above reasons.
The Dems did NOTHING to sell their record nor condemn their opponents ON REAL BREAD AND BUTTER ISSUES!!
SO OBVIOUSLY, the people who actually vote PREFERRED TRUMP as being able to 'fix' things.
