First, GE was ALWAYS a better and bigger company that Westinghouse. By the time Toshiba bought them most of the employable people had fled the nest to other industries. I worked for a separate 'nuclear' Westinghouse, and corporate was always the drag on the system AND the Second Choice for most other industries.

If it was Top Secret, NO you did not tour it unless it was completely sanitized beforehand and there was nothing to see but the walls and some commercial-grade industrial systems in it.

I was at the end of the previous nuke bubble and knew there was no way these were going to work when the FOOLS at Vogtle were allowed to build 2 units, with Georgia Power and Vogtle being one of the UTTER DISASTERS of the end of that previous bubble. I knew hundreds of people who were moved to that site to rescue Vogtle 1 and 2, like South Texas was ALSO rescued. And yet, the same utility was allowed to do it all over again, with $$$BILLIONS now owed by rate payers while stockholders and the like sell power out of state to fatten their dividends. The only good thing is SC had the guts to actually pull the plug on their fiasco while the knotheads at GP 'Bulldogged" their way through like the classic CTE futball head injuries they are. ISTR the scandals unearthed in SC included the fact that management and THE VENDOR built their "Project Schedule" that was delivered to the other fools on the utility commission, they build that schedule using SALES BROCHURES the vendor provided. But, even there the Good Ole White Boy Network protected the incompetent, from talk I heard from people who worked at some of the poor, misguided 'partners' in SC.

@termitreter6545 Perhaps that's why only FOOLS want to be on the Bleeding Edge ..., while intelligent folk let those idiots fix the problems ..., problems which it seems there were no real solutions, hinting at the idea THE DESIGN WAS A DISASTER TO BEGIN WITH?!
