  1. So sad that 99.44% of 'Muricans can barely wrap their heads around the 'Lies We Tell To Children' version of the intricacies of Newtonian gravity. Even worse that they couldn't calculate the 'value' of The Freaky Action at a Distance even if you put all the numbers into the right places for them in the equation. They are in such a rush for The (Madison Avenue) 'Murican Dream that they ignore getting a education (not training), and so in a rush for Jeezus Salvation that they miss the absolute wonder of Reality. Of course, Madison Avenue and Capitalism also ties their health care and opportunities to live a good live by almost iron bands by making it almost mandatory that the 99% are Wage Slaves to the Wealth and Leisure of the !%. Any wonder the trap is so difficult to escape? Oh, and because teachers need to give grades, they need to give tests, and giving 'calculate a number' and 'spit out an easy to grade number' tests is FAR easier than giving an essay question that asks them to compare and contrast Newton and Einstein. I really felt a bulb light up when I finally understood how Einstein made sense in a qualitative way, but I fear the next step to resolve problems with gravity vs QM and cosmological 'dark whatever' issues will weaken the elegance of Einstein in a way that gives us just another army of Archimedes Plutonium Science Quacks.
