  3. So, the report highlights some of the UTTER SCAM that nuclear power is, from engineers who lie about costs on to project managers who can't manage them, either. Perhaps that was demonstrated when, as I noted elsewhere, the APR project in South Carolina was sunk with HUGE time and $$$ overruns ..., and then they had to admit they made their Project Schedule they showed to SC government officials base on SALES PROCHURES AN PROMOTIONAL LITERATURE FROM THE MARKETING DEPARTMENT OF THE PLANT'S VENDORS?! I worked building and bringing on line some of the last large nukes in the US back in the 1980s/90s, and I saw the incompetence and fraud involved at vendors, AE firms, constructors, utilities, etc., as in ALL SEGMENTS OF THOSE PROJECTS. I see no reason to think ANYTHING has changed, and Georgia Power and SC utilities proved it for the "NEWER, FASTER, BETTER" APR scam, and now you show the same for SMRs. I wish it was not so, but that's the reality.

  4. You are a fool if you think anybody will learn from Vogtle. Georgia Power didn't even learn the lessons from Vogtle 1 & 2, decades EARLIER before they screwed over the ratepayers with Vogtle 3 & 4 and the Superwhamadyne APR fiasco. How do you know if the AP1000 is more economical and reliable when it has virtually NO TRACK RECORD and many of the non-US were built AT GOVERNMENT DIRECTION WHERE NO SCANDALS WILL BE ALLOWED TO SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY?!

Tell that to the APR Cheerleaders at Georgia Power ..., who now have saddled the ratepayers with UNICORN REACTORS because NOBODY ELSE HAS BUILT AND BROUGHT ON LINE THEIR OWN APRS TO SUPPORT THE ECONOMIES OF SCALE GEORGIA POWER WERE SCAMMED ON!! Of course, Georgia Power nearly busted the state on their Units 1 & 2 through their incompetence and clueless rube behavior, but NOBODY on the state utility commission would believe Georgia Power was going to be that stupid again! Their country club friends ASSURED THEM GP was not gonna let that happen when they all played their golf at the club ..., and now the rate payers are screwed with huge rate increases while the stockholders will reap the benefit of all the power sold OUTSIDE the state, cuz surplus.

  6. Ask Georgia Power how cheap their 'mass produced' APR units are at Vogtle 3 & 4! South Carolina utilities CANCELLED the only other unit even considered for building because of up front costs, too.
