  1. If the Iowas hadn't been modernized, they'd be razor blades in a city dump, with miscellaneous 'parts-is-parts' laying on some museum's side lawn. Do you think the 'maritime states' like Iowa, Missouri, or Wisconsin would have cared enough to step up to the plate?
