He's the Rick Beato of TV Intelligence outside the Duh Culture of the US.
Let's face it, in the music culture outside the 1900s, it was the composer who mattered, not the players. Yeah, there were Strauss touring orchestras and Sousa bands and Toscanini dramatics, but what we really get passed down was the music, itself, not the hero-worshipped groups and virtuosos who played the music. There will be no end of GREAT performers.
Maybe this is just the music game returning to its roots, where GOOD to GREAT music didn't need the childish histrionics and soap opera dramatics to sell GOOD to GREAT music?
Also, what would it have been like with the Beatles only having solo careers, not to mention other bands with maybe only one real talent and several backups? Richard Wright might have emerged as a great UK jazz performer and composer ..., or maybe NOT, for example.
