Having seen how the Democrats have ABANDONED former Blue Collar Democrats and tried to build a party solely on minority demographics, with reach across to Independents ONLY when necessary, I can EASILY understand why some very angry people are. You are showing you do not listen to what people have been experiencing on 'the other side', and why the Democrats make no effort to rally people who should be still in a big tent but who are not tolerated for one reason or another. I grew up in a Democratic Machine city, I grew up around the straight ticket Democrats. I don't agree with a lot of their personal issues, but the Democratic Party cast them out with the Dixiecrats and are now suffering SEVERAL generations of lost voters instead of, as LBJ predicted, 'A generation of voters'.
