So, how would philosophers know it is NOT uncovered unless they know ahead of time what it is? They have no punishment for being wrong, so what is the corrective process to their mere conjecture backed up by hand waving and mere personal assertion, all confused by the imprecision of 'language'? Like Religion relies on the God of the Gaps, philosophers merely rely on the FUD of the Gaps, without bringing a whole lot to the table in solutions. And, that's after reading and digesting a LOT of Philosophy of Science books and audio courses, not to mention philosophy room mates, one of which is now a perfesser of philosophy.
