  1.  @GSBarlev  I've heard some comments on one channel on 'stealth tech' that outright says Maxwell was not very nice to people not as smart as he was, and he almost always considered himself the smartest person in the room ..., smartest in all objective probability, but not someone with a good sense of humanity ...

  2. Heroes rarely, if ever stand up to scrutiny ..., and most of the ones who do are successful because of a LACK OF DOCUMENTATION (e.g, everything before the last 100 years or so). Feynman prospered cuz 'Muricans need a 'Murican Local Hero to balance all those European refugees in "The Big Boys' Book of 'Murican Physics". Thanks for making me feel vindicated in saving inches on my bookshelf by putting his books in 'lag storage' freeing up space for some biology/evolution texts! James Gleick's books are still up there, though, because he was for a long time the only 'accessible' press author in Science History.
