  6. Still have several of the small Dietz lanterns left over from a Construction Rental company I used to work at. They were used with red glass bulbs to hang off street barricades as a step up from the old smudge pots that were set on the ground. It's really interesting to know all the features that I suspected were in use, especially as a relative had me convert one to use an electric flicker bulb many decades ago. Mine are probably the last few lanterns sold by that company as the city the sold them to was rapidly converting over to the current Dietz electrical flashers! Thanks for the explanation, and I'm even more certain to keep my last two examples in good repair, now.
