After the carnage of the first launch and the flak the government got for the comical EIS, I expect delay on any new Musk-related documents. Mars will NEVER become self-sufficient because of the HUGE need to rely on Earth-bound spares, technology, raw materials, research & development, etc., which includes his blue-smoke-and-mirrors 'recycling' work to use ships for part of the colony habitat. That's not even considering a 'breeding population' that doesn't have to rely on Earth supplies for such processes as IVF, pediatric care, etc.
