@nickypoo7000 Well sir numerous railroads that carry tons every day, and night. They use diesal power to operate generators /alternators to feed huge electric motors. Sometimes there might be 3 locomotives, and a slave unit or two, to pull 100--300
Units in a train. That represents quite a bit of tonnage. Trains are absolutely necessary, and the fuel tank under a GE Locomotive, 20 years ago, held 4500 gallons of fuel.
Public Inner City Transportation?
There are many physical attacks in Subway Systems.
Some get reported, others do not. No thank you. The only way to know who did what to whom, would be to put hidden cameras on such conveyances. The you have Big Brother watching your every move. Most intersections have cameras that pull double duty: To observe traffic for wrecks and violations.
Big Rigs are necessary for moving products from rail terminals to some food outlets. Smaller trucks handle none perishables from warehouses to outlets.
America is a fair sized country. Los Angeles alone had 11,000,000 residents in 1973! That was 50 years ago!
Yes, we DO love our gas burning cars and small trucks. That is probably because we love our privacy, and to be as far as possible from the all too often mayhem that comes with big cities. Have a great day.
