I was stationed in West Berlin in 64-65, Infantry, C-4-18. We trained to control crowds. In a combat Zone, where the enemy can blend with the crowd, it can create the need for pine boxes and draped flags if you're not alert. Later, it became more evident in Viet Nam. However, we were armed with M-14 Rifles, 7.62 ammo, bayonets on rifles. Short step toward the crowd, with smoke grenades active. Never had to use it, but it can rapidly become necessary in cities. Combat in cities is difficult. But! We never had to use it there. We might have had the personnel working in the breweries working overtime, and three shifts though. Great duty, and great comraderie. After duty hours? Sorry, that is censored.

@kirkkirkland7244 Great idea! However, if we revolt we should do in peaceably, not like the riots that some politicians called "peaceable" protests. No murders, no beatings, no stacks of bricks to throw at windows, and police. If we can get a million people to march, broadcast our complaints, and demand a results, and do so peaceably, we will have the attention we need.
In the meantime, write to every Congressperson, every senator, Every governor, mayor, the President, Vice President, and the speaker of the house. Flood their desks with letters on paper, flood their computers with emails. Tell them that with some few exceptions, WE, The Voters will be heard, and their seats will be for another after the elections.

@patbedford1571 Pat, I worked as a Boilermaker for about 34 years. Stated with Southern Railway. The work was heavy, and dirty. However, times were better by then because of the 1926 strike, which shut down all railroads. Still, more often than not, when (for instance) a contract ran out, and the railroads stalled, often repeatedly, to negotiate a decent contract, until as many as (this happened to the Machinists Union ) three years passed. That threw the workers three years behind the original desired wages, and their families suffered. Bless you and yours and may your Christmas be a wonderful one to remember.

Ann, thank you for your service, and Welcome home!
Re: The Biden misadministration is pushing hard to make America into a communist country. That is his goal. He served with Obama, who was too far Left in my opinion.
Kamala Harris has shown she is not able to handle a crisis as a Vice President, and God help us if Biden should step down. Many years ago I saw these things happen in Vietnam, as a soldier in the US Army. I also served in West Berlin when it was still West Berlin. The wall showed the stark reality of communist rule (East Berlin vs West Berlin).
I believe that the only hope America has is to get Former President Donald Trump back into office. He is the only one who has demonstrated that he has the testicular fortitude to handle the huge job that needs to be done.
Please, vote for Trump, and advise all of your friends to do so. The democrats showed how low they would go during the last election.
We need to get everyone we can to vote for Trump, or Biden's crowd will lose America ... And it will take blood and guts to get it back ... If we can get it back.
God bless you, and yours, and God Bless America.🇺🇸

You are correctly. The overall scheme calls for everyone to live in Planned Cities, planned communities within those planned cities, according to planned activities, etc, therefore planned lives over planned life spans. Never happen? I am a bit over 70, and while I was in college --- '70s, this subject was discussed a lot. Also discussed was getting fossile fueled vehicles out of cities, and maybe out of existence. Making it easy to force people to use public transportation, to get from point A to point B. Cameras at every intersection, every few miles on highways, and people assigned to the planned cities, which would have planned schedules for residents. We students were not very impressed with the futuristic concepts.
But what was discussed then is quickly becoming a reality. Americans are having communism crammed down our throats every day.

@MP-vc4nu I think North Korea's missiles have only been over the islands, into Japanese waters, haven't they? Korea, China, Vietnam, and several other countries, including the U.S.A. that were attacked, some occupied by the Japanese, have long memories. Especially those who lost family members, friends, and those who cherished every American involved, have very long memories.

@gibladar5560 Yes, slaves in a sense. Actually, most of the Colonists were Indentured Servants. They could not pay their debts, and were sent to the Colony (future America) to work off the debts. Many liked the fresh country, and never left. They became trappers, farmers, and hunters.
My people came here in (about) 1667. I was born here 275 years later. I have German, Irish, and a bit of Cherokee Indian blood in me.
But! Since I was born here, I, too am a Native American.
You are a Native of your country, too, huh?

@Coolkat12345 As info, Jackson, Some of us have fought in war, and faced an AK-47, as well as Chicoms, AKG- 47, and more, right down to punji stakes. We have a bit of knowledge re firearms.
But, did you know that the Constitution was written to protect us -- yes, you too, -- from becoming subjects helpless to defend ourselves, our country, in the event of Government turning tyrantical .
Also, have you really considered the Russian and Chinese ships and subs prowling our coasts --- within missile range? The terrorists that have invaded us via the Open Border?
Might want to think about that.
Or, are they your friends. No disrespect intended.

@MyMKVids There is nothing civil about war. So get that out of your head. But if it comes, and we don't band together as a nation, we will be speaking Russian, Chinese, North Korean, Cuban.
I personally hope and pray that will never happen. Having experienced war, I would suggest that whomever thinks it will be a stroll in the park, is influenced by a lack of
experience and maturity.
Remember the war of 1860-1865, from history books? It was not pretty. My ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War, WWI, WWII, Korean, Vietnam War, and the Middle East Wars.
We have always been patriotic.
But not one will say war is eazy, or pretty.

@beyond_the_infinite2098 You don't know that people reading this, or responding to your assertions are addicts.
.... Pursuit of happiness, ... Sound familiar ? I love driving my truck, my car, or my motorcycle. I do not drink or use illegal drugs, nor legal drugs illegally. But I do love driving. Those 'safety' addends to new vehicles (first) and your bedroom later, are just the beginning of government wiping out all of the Constitution.
And who is in the driver's seat of the American Rights, bound for extinction ?
Well, You can not say that I told you his name is Moe ... Or coe,..or. ,,Joe. Yeah! That's it! JOE.
God bless America.

@meaders2002 Re: Heather, the men and yes, hundreds of women nurses who served in Vietnam, had patriotism in their blood. While the cowardly crept across the border into Canada, and some even went to colleges in England.
Some remained on American soil to protest, first the war, and later to here American men who fought it. So Heather. We're you one with patriotic blood, or did you protest anything an upper classmate might not have liked? As for Halaburton making money during the War, many businesses do. That's one of YOUR interests, the jobs those businesses created, and we helped protect. If the shoe fits, wear it.

@KarenA-d2e The USA system of gov is fine. The problem seems to be that the quality of the some of the people, lack of maturity, etc, are so determined to not be wrong in an arrest, that the step across the line of ethics.
On the other paw, this old dog remembers when kids were no afraid of police officers because we we taught to respect them.
"If you ever get lost, go to the nearest policeman you see, and ask for help." My grandfather's advice when I was five years old. And guess what!
I have been helped numerous times in my life by police officers.
There are a few bad apples in any organization, but the others are reasonable.
The Law Crime Centers? Sure. But those cameras are communistic to the core. They need to go.
Also that is needed: the Supreme Court ruled that it's okay if a police officer lies, but a civilian can be jailed for the same thing?
Not suggesting that anyone should lie. But! If I tell my grandchild to find a police officer if Said child gets lost, and
that happens to be the one bad apple? Throws a different light on it.
The Supreme court justices should serve a maximum of 8 years. Just opinion. Make a law that a police officer can lie to, or about someone who might be innocent, to imprison them? No.
Why? In my life I have read or seen in the news about at least four or five (mostly men) but a few women
who served long sentences in prison for crimes that they did no commit . Recently a man who had served 48 years. Money cannot buy back those years.

@c0t556 I was in England once. Went into a tavern for refreshments. The patrons were congenial enough. The first question I was asked, but not in an unfriendly way, was "I say, chap. During World War two, why did America wait so long to come to our aid?"
I thought about the question for a minute, and replied," Well, I tried to enlist, but I was not born until 3 months, and seven days after Pearl Harbor was bombed, would you believe no branch of our Military would have me." We had a laugh at that. When I was there I was 19 years old. I like the British.

@ElAqAirZeus Yep, the problem with the military starts in the Pentagon, where the heavy hardware
Hangs on shoulders and collars. Too many generals fear standing tall would get them into disfavor with the political faction. The Regular Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, NG, etc, have been indoctrinated to BE the 'Big Brother'. About 50 percent might turn their weapons on civilians, if told to do so. I have been told that of 28,000 soldiers vetted, 14,000 refused to do so even if ordered told to. That's 50 percent. All NG.
I don't know what the RA soldiers would do. I was in the US Army. We were asked, thoretically, if we would turn our weapons on Americans. The answer: "Not just no, but He'll no, sir." I would hope our military would do the same.

Right! Show necessary papers. Politely refuse searches of your body, clothes, contents of anything in your car, your phone. And your residence if applicable,
And then say nothing. If they keep asking, keep telling them you choose to remain silent, without your lawyer present, and if Said lawyer advises you to answer questions.
Is you have no attorney, and can't afford one, make the Public Defender show his/ her credentials. Otherwise, the LEO slip an imposter into the scene.

@boxercourage4384 True. I find neither need nor desire to have a trike with no wheels, a motorcycle with no engine, beans with no taters, a summer day without watermelon ... and hundreds of other things, wasps, hornets, a toothache, an earache, a boat with no lake, an ocean 2000 miles away, well, you get the drift. Have a great day!

@bobchris9423 Because even if she goes to prison, life sentence, the laws change with time. A sharp minded attorney looking for his/her name Headlined as her attorney, twenty years down the road, will find something in the new laws to get her pardoned. And she can open a tailor shop in a busy city, and Screeeaaakk, the gate to freedom opens.
She might become a model citizen, a hard worker, and her sewing skills will be exquisite . After all, all it takes is good eyesight, a sewing machine, thread(s) and ...... Sharp scissors. 😋🏁🍉🦈🇺🇸

@mirandagarrett4231 Get her a chocolate milkshake. A Danish, or a cup of yogurt. Ask if she needs to visit the ladies' room (after she has eaten the treats.) Does she smoke? Sure, it's okay. If she tells you her name is not Isabella, don't call her that. Be nice. Smile every now and then.
Then sincerely tell her you are sorry about her mother. Then calmly ask what she knows about it.(don't call her Isabello).
Don't look angry. Use a calm, soft voice. One of the officers remain silent. Neutral . Distracted by a map, ot something. If nothing has been learned after 30---40 minutes, the silent partner asks the nice guy whether he called home earlier.
"Darn it! I forgot." Politely asks the suspect to please excuse him for a few minutes. Leaves the room.
The aggressive officer gives her the 1000 yard stare. Leans back, stretches. Yawns. Politely, all business, asks her to go over the story she already told when she was arrested.
If she did not give a story, he mentions some things she allegedly told.
Be an absolute pro. Polite, but firm. No smile. Fish eye stares. Ask her to submit to a polygraph test. If she agrees to it, great. She will not beat the test if she is guilty. If she could the courts might drop the charges. If she does not, I don't think the courts can convict and try her on that basis anyhow. But she might relax enough to 'fess up when the polite officer returns. Just my thoughts.

Have you been to Law School? I attended one for a day or two. A study of law, is much more intense and thorough than what many officers get during their training.
Remember that their primary duty is to protect good people, by capturing bad guys, who might be strung out on every known, unknown, and some as of yet given some name, kind of drug. An addict on a stratosphere drug high, can exert tremendous strength. Hard to contend with, and handle.
The officer might not intend to hurt the suspect, but the addict might be willing to hurt anyone who stands between him/her and the next high.
True, there are some LEOs who cross the line of necessity, but not all of them are bad.

@generalnonsense1243 I have brought the subject of teaching students in public schools, and private, from perhaps the fourth grade through the 12th. Maybe two subjects per quarter/semester. That would give them 9 years, or possibly 54 subjects exposure to Law, as imtended to be understood re the Constitution , Bill of Rights, and Govornment in general.
Tie the qualification for sports participation to their studies.
Win win situation. More, better qualified attorneys, or more learned Linebackers, who could have a better future to anticipate when they blow our their knees.
Just a idea. Any thoughts, Anyone?

So now Russia is operating near Florida, while China concentrates on Taiwan ... And what looked like the 7th Fleet
Showed up.
North Korea has some powerful missiles, and Un gives the impression that he wants to use them.
He would like to hit Japan, and America.
When Russia was asked why he was invading Ucraine, he replied " ... Just a military drill...?
It is my understanding that he labeled his ships being 25 miles off Florida's as ... "just a military drill."
And ATF wants to disarm American citizens.
When (not if) WWIII starts, we, the people will have to resort to guerrella tactics. That means we will need MORE guns.
We will also need a better, patriotic, more determined power in DC.
VOTE FOR TRUMP! He can, maybe, head off the war. If not? He won't take bribes from China. We need him!
Wake up, people!

And Queen Isabella told Christopher Columbus, as she regained her breath,
" Chris, sweetheart, don't think for a minute that a few kisses here and there, will make me support your wild dreams about finding a huge Island, building a condo, and then coming back for me. Oh Chris, don't . .. don't ... Chris... Darn it Chris. Holy Hamburgers! Ohhhh ... How many chests of ... gold and precious jewels ... do you want? Sweety? Take 20. Hurry back! " And so, Chris Columbus, fully supported by the generous queen, sailed off to the West, and later convinced the Queen that he, not Magellan, saw the shores of America first. He did not admit that he was lost at the time.
He could not omit that he might have bypassed the West Indies. Now you know.

jdantigua , open your eyes, please. If the present misadministration remains in office, America won't be the great America we gave known.
America is the greatest country on earth, and our form of government has kept functioned for 250 years.
But if Trump, who is fighting, not just for his own freedom, rather that of All Americans, should not win on 11/05/2024, American's rights and values will sold to the highest bidder: Marxist Communism.
So please vote for President Donald Trump for POTUSOA .
Or maybe you would prefer for your children to be denied the Constitutional Rights you have enjoyed, and still enjoy? Think about it.
Vote for Trump, please. 🦈🇺🇸

@shanghunter7697 maybe you're right. But if every law enforcement officer is perfect, he/she will be harder on a person arrested. Why? Because their standards will be so high no one can reach them ... but the person accused will be expected to be so perfect. Then, along comes a city kitty, stops you because it's Monday, and he/she is in a foul mood because he/she was in ' the mood ' early that morning, and the cookie cutter was not because of any dozen of 300 excuses kept handy except for every couple of months, and that can create a hard situation.
But, being perfect ... He/she is just waiting to pounce on someone who is less than perfect.
Generally, I have never had severely bad interactions with law enforcement. They are doing a dirty job, and can't really have any close friends because it could create bad situations, so his/her only friends are other law enforcement officers.
That keeps officers under a magnifying glass all of the time. Can't confide a feeling, or a secret because the perfect buddy might be tight with the perfect boss.
So no. Nobody is perfect, no matter what their station in life might be. I served with some people who thought they were perfect in the Military.
They expected everyone to eat, sleep, and dream in perfect cadence.
Don't need any more perfect bosses.

@newstroll982 Sounds like Biden's bunch to me. Thanks for rattling off their weaknesses for the folks at home to see. I don't know who the woman that so rudely attacked Marjorie Green, but she seems to be full of political venom.
Some times, when a person attacks so viciously , that person cements the adoration and respect of not only the listeners, but people Said listeners are friends with, to the accusers enemies.
A bit of free advice, mam. If you want to get people's attention, speak softly.
If you want to create new enemies for yourself, rant and rave.
Doesn't really matter to me. I used to vote democratic, many years ago, but never again.

@nickypoo7000 Well sir numerous railroads that carry tons every day, and night. They use diesal power to operate generators /alternators to feed huge electric motors. Sometimes there might be 3 locomotives, and a slave unit or two, to pull 100--300
Units in a train. That represents quite a bit of tonnage. Trains are absolutely necessary, and the fuel tank under a GE Locomotive, 20 years ago, held 4500 gallons of fuel.
Public Inner City Transportation?
There are many physical attacks in Subway Systems.
Some get reported, others do not. No thank you. The only way to know who did what to whom, would be to put hidden cameras on such conveyances. The you have Big Brother watching your every move. Most intersections have cameras that pull double duty: To observe traffic for wrecks and violations.
Big Rigs are necessary for moving products from rail terminals to some food outlets. Smaller trucks handle none perishables from warehouses to outlets.
America is a fair sized country. Los Angeles alone had 11,000,000 residents in 1973! That was 50 years ago!
Yes, we DO love our gas burning cars and small trucks. That is probably because we love our privacy, and to be as far as possible from the all too often mayhem that comes with big cities. Have a great day.

@jerryrobinson4024 YOU need to think, jerry.
The democommies are trying to drag America into communism. The communist countries are run by defacto dictators. I've been to a few countries. Seen the commies' work first hand. My family has fought dictatorships since the Revolutionary War. Lost family members in those wars. My father died in S. Korea, US Army.
I am probably a day or two older than you, and have a few minutes more experience than you.
Of this I can assure you: If America were to be dragged under Communist Rule, neither you, nor anyone
Other American will like it.
THINK about that. The freebies erroneously labeled Stimulous Payments are to get you, and anybody else, to call, and when you do --- you will be transferred to an insurance agent.
The borders are wise open, and The dems view those people who cross it as walking VOTES!
We have hundreds, if not thousands of incognito enemy soldiers, or intel agents here already .
THINK, Jerry.

The French were colonizing Vietnam. The war became too expensive, and France withdrew. Vietnam did not beat France.
Nor did The North Vietnamese beat the USA. The politicians , and the non military factions in the USA had a lot to do with America extracting our people, with exception of, I believe it was, 3500 POWs . The North was prepared to surrender if America bombed one more day.
It was a very expensive war, and our military was not allowed to use all of its conventional might. Hard to fight with one hand and one leg.
Had we used even 1/4 of our assets, we could have pushed them across the Chinese Border.
The loss of South Vietnam's War was their cohesiveness and determination to win.
Some people ignorant of the facts have erroneously insulted the courage of the South Vietnamese.
They are a brave people, and their soldiers fought well, while fearing that their families were being slaughtered by the Viet Cong.
At times, American soldiers thought that there were more Viet Cong in America, than in Vietnam. One, having taken a 30 days leave said as much when he returned to his unit.
So, no. The USA did not lose that war because we were there to assist the South Vietnamese.
When we departed, the South could not ward off the North Vietnamese troops, and the vicious Viet Cong .
Interestingly enough, the female protestors, in total ignorance, who called our soldiers baby killers, have reared daughters and grand daughters who are screaming for the RIGHT to murder their own babies.
I sincerely doubt that Utube will let this be shown, but it's the truth.
Thank you, and God bless America.

Gordo, I have known several multimillionaires who started with nothing more than walking behind a plowstock.
Two of them started with their mustering out pay after WWII.
One bought a used car. Cleaned it up, tuned it up, and sold it for 3 times what he paid for it. Went to the auction, and bought three cars, and continued to do so.
He owned a big farm, numerous houses, and still attended his business, plus a full time job. Hard work and
being smart enough to know when to buy and sell.
He had to quit school after the 5th grade to on the farm.
Want to be a millionaire? Roll up your sleeves, and do something others say can't be done.
Oh! Don't fail to be totally honest with the IRS, so you won't be bothered by that.
Good luck.

England, Scotland, Ireland, Iceland, Canada, Nova Scotia, France, Germany, South Korea, Singapore, our own citizens, Mexico, Belieze , Honduras, Australia, New Zieland , and other countries.
Vehicles of all kinds, with style. Many of the presently on the roads look like a stream of various colored roach bugs.
My opinion, but I remember the beautiful vehicles produced right here in America, by Americans, and lusted after by thousands of foreign nationals.
Americans can do anything any other nationals can do, and in some cases better.
And the dollar was THE currency to half. No computer programs that the government could use to control ever facet of our lives. If the Cyber currency is adopted by the USA, the people will be ruled by AI and Cyber garbage.
Doubt that? Guess what:China, among other commie countries can simply stop paying anyone steps out of their straight line of march.
Think about it people!
Thousands of soldiers, sailors, marines, and air men have died to keep America free of communism. Don't make their dying be im vain.
Vote for President Trump, and Vance for Vice President. MAGA.

I enrolled myself in school from the 2nd Grade forward. Walked a mile to and from school, with other kids. Lived in 14 cities from ElPaso to Atlanta, Ga.
In 1954 the police were more inclined to give a kid a lift home, not to Juvenile Detention. The Police in El Paso, Atlanta, Ga., Birmingham, Alabama, and several other cities were exceptionally helpful to kids. They chewed us out if we were out after Curfew, and sometimes gave us a ride home, and advised us about the dangers of being out so late. We listened.
At 15 I hitch hiked through several states, with never a problem.
BUT! Kids were more mature at 15, back then, than they are now. I was an Army Brat, and proud of it. Also proud to have never gotten a police record.
American children were taught to be patriotic. We recited the Pledge of Allegience to the Flag every morning in school. Sang the National Anthem at ball games, and were quick to defend our patriotic and religious beliefs. America was truly great back then, and She is great now.
Get rid of the drug pushers, reinstate the legal drinking age to 21,
as well as the legal age to buy tobacco. The latter two probably kill more people than automobile wrecks. Activate the Draft. It will give young men something to really have pride in.
My father died in South Korea. I was 15. At 17 I enlisted in the USN.
I pray every day and every night that God will protect America, and Americans every where. Especially our Military people.
"If we don't stop Communism before it infects our youths, America will become a Police State."
SSG David Scruggs. 1966. Vietnam.

@christophermitchell7925 When was that ruling? What happened to Serve and Protect?
However, LEOs have a difficult job to do, because no matter what they do, in any situation, somebody is going see only one side of the story.
And there is always two sides, maybe 6 or 8 , to a situation.
I've driven in more than a couple of states. The police, in all of them were treated people as humanely as the people let them.
I made more than a couple of trips to Dallas, Texas, to bail men in my platoon out of jail, and once to bail out one of my squad leaders wife.
Hey Monty! You still alive out there? The shortest platoon sergeant you ever had here!;

@garychandler4296 Who has become the enemy? Trump had America prospering. What, besides destroying our confidence in our government, has Biden's crowd done?
Oh! I forgot. He got our whole country acquainted with Red China, is still holding the border open for people who have no good intentions toward Americans, our laws, and wants the invaders to vote for him. Will he use executive power to allow them to vote ... Whether we like it or not?
Write letters, flood his office, your representatives offices, and call all of them telling them that we vote. They need to get Biden, Harris, Sanders, and all others out of office.
I vote not for the party, rather for the candidate. I voted for President voted early, Primary, for the third time for President Trump. He has the courage to stand up for America against all of our enemies.
Did you know he could have pardoned himself for the crimes he was charged with as his final act? It's true. And they would have melted into oblivian . But he refused to do that. Set out to beat those charges in Court.
Now: Will Biden pardon himself for allegedly accepting bribes, and the Family members as well?
We will soon see.

Akabutu yep, the sister should grow up. True, he is shorter than average, but that was not his choice, rather his parents' genes.
So, sister called him a dwarf because he's short? Because it's a fact? Hmmm. Sister could be facing charges. That's ridicule, intimidation, harassment , emotional abuse, mental abuse, and racial abuse.
Yep, 'sister' surely needs to grow up. Or is it you who needs to grow up?
However, the accused was, short of being violent, completely out of order. He probably got a few days in the cooler.

@ahapka But it might be enough to influence a whole jury pool. I saw it happen . Nothing needs to spouted out until after the trial, if there is to be a trial.
The guy might have taken a Walk deal. Quit the job, keep the bennies, and walk.
Then the ex deputy can take a few weeks off, move to the neighboring county, and get a job there, often with law enforcement.
But to be realistic, and honest, when such things happen like this allegedly happened, the need to visit a business lady usually stems from the cook is not cooking at home.
So the hubby, or wifey goes to a restaurant where they can get the needs filled, pay the fee, and no obligations.
Happens some where in the world, every day, maybe every hour.
