@PepsiMagt what do you think causes crime?

@wehrmeister I don't think leaving it up to the states is the answer, that's how you get so many people believing in the lost cause myth and that dinosaurs either didn't exist or existed at the same time as humans.

@PepsiMagt what causes people to become criminals?
2
@wehrmeister I agree when talking to individuals it's important to talk about the personal responsibility to do the best they can with the cards that they've been dealt but societal issues require societal solutions. For example with education it's all well and good to tell your kids to study and work hard at school but we know for a fact that if your school district is underfunded you are more likely to not make it college and if you do have far worse academic results and are therefore more likely to be poor, compared to those who went to a better funded school. does that mean that we should tell kids who go to bad schools not to work hard because the odds are against them? no. it just means that along with personal responsibility, an understanding of what leads to a higher percentage of kids in a certain school district not going to college isn't something that is going to be fixed without systemic change.

@PepsiMagt So your solution would be what then? Eugenics? Ethno-States?
2
@PepsiMagt I wasn't aware of any countries that enforced anti-miscegination laws?
2
@PepsiMagt not sure how you can live in an ethnostate then, that would seem pretty necessary
2
@PepsiMagt enlighten me then, I am not aware of any European countries that restrict citizenship to people of a certain ethnicity
2
@wehrmeister sure, but in a broader sociological view are there any factors that contribute to why people might decide to commit crimes?
1
@PepsiMagt yeah it's just incredibly uneconomical and unethical. You either have a lot of checks and balances that try to prevent as many innocent people being executed and you end up spending more money on executions than just life in prison or you reduce those checks and end up executing innocent people.
