  1. As the guy said most of the people on the train were just regular citizens, and that's besides the point that even if a cop may dislike you personally for something you did they still have a responsibility to protect and serve.

  2. If the civillians started carrying guns so would the triad, instead of attacking people with sticks they would have guns. Not having guns in that equation is a good thing.
