@jasonpenniepan4838 The thing is that, the 2nd ammendment wasn't created to just protect the 2nd ammendment it was to protect the constitution as a whole one only needs to look at the disgrace that is immigration courts (right to a speedy trial), over worked public defenders (right to a fair trial), FISA courts and the collection of meta data on an unprecedented scale (reasonable doubt for search and seizure) So what I'm wondering is when are the people going to "rise up" because it seems to me that the only time the people that like guns are willing to rise up is to protect their guns...

@Russell Grant ahh yes and all you have to do, is deal with the constant mass shootings.

@PyroJohn19 If a law contradicts another law, the higher law takes prescident does it not?

@TheSunderingSea I'd like to ask all the people that love the 2nd amendment that aswell, where is the well regulated Militia waging war against a government where many of our constitutional right have already been diminished substantially and in some cases just non existant.

did nothing? we have had 0 mass shootings since 1996. And nice job cherry picking cities because overall crime index is much higher in the USA than in the UK

what? I don't agree with him but a law can be unconstitutional and therefore illegal just like Jim Crow

@andrewenriquez3138 actually the constitution says that if a right is considered aright widely enough by all people than it too is included.

@Widemouth1832 firstly how are they protecting the 4th amendment? it's a rotting carcass right now, secondly what about the 5/6 amendments? and thirdly my point still stands that the right to bear arms wasn't made just so you could protect your right to bear arms, protection of the constitution has failed miserably, so we might as well heavily amend it or get rid of it, because as we have seen from the likes of Mandela, Ghandi and Martin Luther King peaceful protest is probably the most effective and ethical way to get things done.

@BladeAddict8 Looking at statistics from the Australian institute of criminology, homocides where already on a downward trajectory the argument is whether or not the gun buyback helped continue this downward trajectory or whether it would have continued, regardless of the answer what is known is that since that time the has been 0 mass shootings compared to the 3-4 we had 5 years prior.
