  2. I think it has more to do that it was motivated because of her being LGBT, it's the kind of thing that seems very out of place in Western Countries and more akin to something seen in Middle Eastern theocracies.

  5. I think it's because murdering people that are LGBT is such foreign concept in western countries, the opening footage looks like it could have easily come out of any of the Middle Eastern theocracies.
