  1. i like what you mention in the end, because that is what i am always thinking. i am in/from europe and i feel like we are so much more individualistic here than every american i ever talk to. in the US you have to be nice to everyone, you have to have a community, you have to adapt, you have to be likable, because you never know if something happens, like losing your job, your home or getting sick, and you need someone's help. here in europe my health and education is being paid for and if i have no job i can still keep living like a normal person, just without luxuries or traveling. i do not have to be nice to anyone or adapt to anything (except the law), i do not NEED another person in my life that i don't want there. i never thought about europe as being collectivist. that is something that happens in parts of asia.

  2. first video of yours i watch and i love the way you tell your story in so many details! its like i was there too! i have watched quite a few videos of americans talking about europe, but this is the first time i actually can imagine the culture shock and not just hear the same facts repeated again.
