  2.  @texaszag8748  no the real issue is your mental health. the genetic predisposition is a factor that comes on top of it and makes it harder/worse for the individual, but can do nothing by itself.

  3. german. i think its alright the way it is handled here.  i grew up always seeing my parents drink wine or beer or different drinks, but I have never seen them drunk in my life. maybe tipsy, but that's it.  when i was in school of course there were enough occasions where people got drunk when partying, that was in the 90s/2000s, but never to the extent i see young people party nowadays. i am in berlin. weekend nights on the subway trains you see a lot. sunday mornings: subway stations are covered in vomit. driving: people I know don't drink at all, if they still want to drive. you probably can have one drink and still be fine, but why risk it. one drink is really not worth it. i personally have never been binge drinking or been that drunk that i did not remember things. alcohol is supposed to be fun and entertaining, but not make you sick. why poison yourself?

  4.  @MarcelVolker  i am pretty sure you know that was not the point she was making with her whole post. so why point this out? to out yourself as an annoying know-it-all that nobody wants to be friends with? is your day that bad that this makes you feel better? think about it.

  5. the data on people reporting their binge drinking habits? probably the brainwashed american will not admit it, as it's a no-no, while the european is super open and casual about it.

  7.  @texaszag8748  no there is no chicken and egg. alcoholism is a symptom of an underlying problem. a psychological problem. not necessarily a psychiatric one. i dont care what you read somewhere. and i dont benefit from this discourse. lets leave it at this.
