  4. I've lived in Japan, and enjoyed my time there. Here are two things I saw on a daily basis, that Japanese men should never do when travelling abroad. 1. Don't hack up snot and spit it on the street. 2. Don't grope underaged girls on trains. My advice to foreigners visiting Japan: Remove shoes at the genkan, and use toilet slippers. Wear a mask IF YOU HAVE A STREAMING COLD. If you must blow your nose in a tissue in public, put it in the bin, not your pocket. Ask permission to take photos of people. Don't wear a costume or trunks in a cento or onsen.
