  1. When I was 10, in the mid-eighties, I went to the cockpit of a DC-10 of Canadian Airlines. The Captain was a friend of the family. He actually let me get in the seat and bank the plane...full of passengers (ahhh the 80s). I am NOT a pilot. There needs to be a redefinition of the term "astronaut" to reflect that it is a licensed profession. Establish that threshold and licensing. FFS, the people on the ground who have completed astronaut training but haven't yet flown ARE astronauts despite not yet going into space. I hate this disrespect of the profession by these horrible people, male or female.
