Technology and social media has made instant gratification a reality. Its fooled people into thinking that if they arent getting this same response from other facets of their life then something is wrong. @also, maybe "he forced her into these trials". No, she gave him the option of dragging her into this when she broke an nda they both signed and accused him of being a wife beater in the media. You cant start a fight and then be claimed you got dragged into it. Also why are you only talking about johnnys drinking when amber would go through $10,000 of wine every month, has admitted to taking multiple other drugs and even is on tape justifying her physical abuse of him by saying that she was on drugs

@also, maybe No i believe he did that too, I could see myself doing that because that was a clear violation of their relationship boundaries. If someones clearly flirting with my girlfriend and being uncomfortably affectionate to her in front of me, and she does nothing to prevent it, we are going to have a fight. Do you know how to play guitar? You use your finger tips. If you punch glass your finger tips are protected. There is a big difference to getting cut on your knuckles and having the tip of your finger sliced off

Sorry, what evidence does she have that he physically abused her? Theres no medical records or anything, as far as ive seen there have been no witnesses that prove it either. If you havent watched her testimony, I propose that you do. The things she claimed he did to her cant be covered up by makeup and dont just go untreated. Defamatory writings are not protected speech, otherwise there wouldnt be a case going on right now.

Yeah, ordinary life with another person should provide enough evidence for whether or not you should be with them, if you have to test them then you shouldnt be together

It doesnt matter if he was emotionally abusive. What matters is whether or not he was physically abusive and I have seen very little evidence to point in that direction, which is shocking given a) what shes claimed in her testimony, and b) how much recording and documentation she went out of her way to take in the relationship. Theres no need for anything, however a lot of people want to pick sides because right now it seems that johnny was treated extremely unfairly by the media and his employers. There is concrete evidence that amber physically abused him, yet she hasnt been fired from any roles yet the same way he was. The idea of things being fair is so deeply ingrained in our psyche that even other primates have a sense of what is fair and not fair

@Samir-oe7zf Yeah, but its not seen as amazing by society when its a man. Women have been painted into a box labelled "harmless victims," so when a story about women tearing a man to a shell of his former self it is seen as quite amazing

@kp361 The gender thing comes in to the word "amazing". Its not amazing when a man tears a woman down, its "oh it was only a matter of time". When a woman tears a man down, firstly most people dont believe it even when theres evidence, secondly people blame the man for getting involved with her in the first place

Him groaning like an animal on a plane sounded more like a man going through serious withdrawals, which makes sense as amber allegedly withheld his detox medication. "smashing up his own kitchen" isnt evidence of him being abusive. If anything it shows the control he has in that he can take his anger out on things other than his wife. Ambers testimony also just didnt sound believable at all, she made the most ridiculous crying faces ive ever seen without a single tear ever coming out. Her lawyers straight up lied to the court about makeup right at the very start of the trial. She documented so many things covertly in the relationship but never managed to document any of the supposed many instances of physical abuse. She added in unnecessary details to all of her stories which is one of the hall marks of a pathological liar.

@mobwatch8119 Everyone channels their anger somehow. Just because you cant afford to break things doesnt make his method of channeling his anger any more wrong than yours. Might I remind you that people literally pay to go to places where they can smash household items

@mobwatch8119 Sorry were johnnys kids there while he was doing it? Or was it just amber? Theres a big difference between doing that around children, and another grown adult. As long as youre not forcing the adult to stay there and not threatening them, i dont really say theres anything inherently wrong with it. The reason i bring up money is because that means he can easily afford the damages and people to clean it up so shit doesnt stay broken long. Its got nothing to do with some "rich people are higher status" bullshit that you just pulled out your ass.

@neoepicurean3772 If I see damning evidence that he did physically abuse her then i wont be defending him so much. But thats the problem, yall are seeing videos and audio that imply he could be abusive and then acting like I shouldnt still be on his side. Ive seen concrete evidence that she physically abused him, Im yet to see concrete evidence that he physically abused her. Now, im not saying ill switch over entirely to "johnny depps a monster amber heard is a victim". For that to happen id need most of her stories that shes been telling to be proven true. At this stage it seems like the best case scenario for her is that he physically abused her to some degree but shes still embellishing and straight up lying about parts of it. There are too many details that dont add up in her story for it to be anything more than they equally abused each other, and at this stage it doesnt look equal.

@neoepicurean3772 The issue with that line of thinking is that it implies all bad things are equal, which theyre not. It also implies that telling a couple lies is as bad as telling several bigger lies. Like I said, im yet to see any concrete proof that he physically abused her, yet i have seen proof that she physically abused him. And at this point thats one of the main things i form my personal judgement from. Also are you considering the psychologist that testified to amber having borderline/histrionic disorder? Pretty sure she wasnt on his pay roll except for the standard payroll every expert witness gets for their time in court. Wasnt the doorman that vaped in his car during his deposition also not on johnnys payroll, he just worked in the building?

You realise we are all seeing and listening to evidence, not just them talk about it. Most people have seen a lot of evidence of amber heard being physically abusive and basically none of johnny being physically abusive
